Guidelines for Comments
The overall feeling tone I want to cultivate is kindness and understanding. Thoughtful comments made in that spirit are welcome. This is not to say that there will not be disagreement, debate, or diverse points of view, but please let’s not be ugly. Here are some basic points to follow. I will delete comments that don’t respect these rules.
1. Be kind. No ad hominem attacks or cheap shots.
2. Please stay on topic.
3. Do not use my blog to sell or market your product.
4. No gratuitous use of expletives. Though expletives are a necessary part of language and can be effective when used judiciously, please let’s not overdo it.
Guidelines for Posting Poetry
Some of the poems posted here are mine. For those that are not, I have adopted the following guidelines:
In general, poetry is considered to be in the public domain if it was (a) published before 1923, or (b) unpublished but the author died more than seventy years ago. Poems in the public domain are not subject to copyright laws and can be quoted liberally with appropriate attribution. For other works, I follow the Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Poetry disseminated by the Center for Social Media. If you quote or post poems in the comments of this blog, kindly do the same. Otherwise I will have to delete your comment.

Excellent. I’ve been grappling with how to handle the above issues regarding comments and you’ve given me exactly what’s needed, I truly thank-you.
